Description

Duties and responsibilities:
Summer Fun is a recreation and leisure program for children and youth with varying abilities between the ages of six and twenty-two years of age.
Duties include:
-    Working alongside the Summer Fun Coordinator to implement programs and activities to children and youth with varying abilities
-    Coordinating and conducting recreational activities within the community for program participants
-    Training volunteers as well as coordination of volunteers for each event
-    Record keeping of participant and volunteer attendance, program expenses and activity outcomes
-    Providing and engaging, interactive, safe and fun atmosphere for participants
-    Assisting with the wrap up of the program- final documentation and follow up reporting

Qualifications:
-    Student who is continuing full time, post- secondary education in Kinesiology, Education, Social Work, Recreational Therapy or related disciplines
-    First Aid and CPR Certificate
-    Valid Drivers License and access to a personal vehicle
-    Experience working with children and youth with varying abilities
-    Computer Skills- Microsoft Office
-    Innovative and creative thinking skills
-    Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills

The final candidates are required to provide satisfactory police record checks.
