Description

We are currently seeking to fill the position of Maintenance Technician - Millwright.  This position will be located in Macklin, SK and will report to the Maintenance Manager.  The overall responsibility of this position is to perform day to day repairs and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment to maintain optimal runtimes and operating cost efficiency.  Key responsibilities will include:

Performing repairs and routine maintenance on operating equipment
Troubleshooting issues and recommending repairs or modifications
Complying with all HSE standards and procedures; reporting any unacceptable conditions and incidents
Effectively communicating with the central Maintenance Planner on a daily basis
Performing maintenance activities while adhering to established processes to minimize downtime
Maintaining communication with operations personnel and third party services

Besides being both an independent self starter and a team player, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in oil and gas industry,
Journeyman certification as a Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic
Experience troubleshooting and repairing Positive Displacement and Centrifugal pumps, air and gas compressors and performing alignments
Working knowledge of Laser-Align software and intermediate experience with MS Excel
Experience with CMMS databases an asset
Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract
Flexibility and independence; ability to work a schedule with rotational on call shifts
