Description

Reporting to the Director, Finance, the position is responsible for the control and coordination of the finance department activities including account reconciliations, month end procedures as well as the processing of administration payroll.  The position liaises with all business units to aid in budget development and management.  In addition, special requests for financial information, analysis and general accounting needs of the organization may be handled by the position.

Where you shine:
- You confidently provide oversight of accounts payable and receivable functions ensuring timely payment, accounting and accuracy in all your duties.
- You have prepared monthly and year-end accruals, general financial reporting and working papers which provide support for the preparation of financial statements, presentation and disclosure.
- You have prepared salary payroll, maintained comprehensive personnel/payroll files including employee information, benefit entitlements, deductions and other confidential documentation
- You also believe fit, is important and do that by developing positive working relationships between the various Club departments and Finance.

What you possess:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting and/or completion of a recognized accounting designation (CPA) and 3-5 years of practical experience preparing financial transactions within approved processes and procedures
- 1-2 years auditing and payroll processing experience is a definite asset.
- Proficiency with financial management software including spreadsheets, databases and integrated financial systems.
- Availability to work irregular hours and work schedules including game days.
