PRIMARY FOCUS
Responsible for mainline cathodic protection systems and corrosion controls (cathodic protection and coatings) on above and below grade pipeline facilities (piping, tanks, etc.) in terminals, pump stations, and valve sites within the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect, monitor, and maintain Central Regions Cathodic Protection such as Rectifiers, Remote-Monitoring Equipment, Critical and Non-Critical Bonds, and AC Mitigation systems.
Maintain documentation and all records required for regulatory compliance within company corrosion control database including data plotting and analysis.
Understand and adhere to CAN NEB & CSA regulations as it pertains to Cathodic Protection of pipelines
Assess, make recommendations, and implement action plans to maintain the integrity of corrosion controls on piping, tanks, and other pipeline facilities as required in the region
Coordinate, assess, and inspect contractors field work and technical reports.
Understand Coatings in Conjunction with CP.
Perform other related pipeline duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree or diploma in electrical, electronics, materials, or instrumentation.
Completion of NACE International courses related to cathodic protections and coatings.
Salary and job level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
