The Food Service Supervisor is a professional, takes lead responsibilities on Catering Services and Customer Orders. They work collaboratively, in a team approach with the Baker, Meat Cutter, Owner and Manager. Must have training and experience in food services to properly use equipment and perform tasks: prep, know portions, cooking temps and techniques, meal presentation and serving. In addition the Food Service Supervisor must understand and perform duties required in retail: packaging, labelling, pricing, customer service. The following duties:
Inventory weekly for ordering purposes and quarterly for fiscal purposes
Order supplies and food products weekly
Train and coordinate staff assign tasks and supervise
Develop and Implement food services policies and procedures
Daily bakes bread, buns and sweet goods, pastries (tarts, pies, etc.), cakes
Package and label ready to eat food
Prepare customized menus for catering as per customer request
Take and make special orders (ie appetizer trays, salads, etc.)
Food prep: fruits and vegetables, deli meat, raw to cooked meat
Event set up: equipment, etc., coordinate staff, and serve,
Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
