PUBLIC WORKS LABOURER - ASSET SURVEY

The City of Weyburn is a dynamic and progressive municipality located in the heart of Southeast Saskatchewan. The City has a population of over 10,500 and a solid economic and community foundation upon which new opportunities are continuously built. The City of Weyburn is currently accepting applications for two (2) temporary full-time seasonal positions as a Public Works Labourer - Asset Survey positions will be responsible for conducting for the upcoming summer season. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Public Works Labourer - Asset Survey positions will be responsible for conducting an infrastructure asset survey and various other duties as assigned.

The duties of the Public Works Labourer ? Asset Survey positions include:
-perform physical, onsite inspection and condition assessment of Public Works infrastructure, including but not to pedestrian sidewalks, water service connections, traffic & street signage etc;
-measure, calculate and record concise condition date based on established assessment criteria;
-spreadsheet data entry
-work independently and as part of a team in completing assigned tasks

The successful candidate will:
-be physically fit and prepared to work in the outdoor environment;
-be able to work politely and effectively with fellow staff and the general public;
-possess a valid Class 5 Driver?s License;
-preference will be given to candidates enrolled in a post-secondary engineering program

Starting wage as per the CUPE Local 90 contract.
