The Medical Transportation Clerk is accountable to the Peepeekisis Health Committee and Health Director.
The successful candidate should possess the following qualities:
Qualfications:
- Certificate/diploma from a clerical program, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in the clerical field, minimum of six months along with basic accounting
- Posses excellent people skills and the ability to communicate with all individuals/groups in a professional and courteous manner
- Manage confidential information according to the health program requirements and practices
- Must have knowledge of computer system (Word, Excel, Power-point)
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Knowledge of monthly reporting systems
- Sound knowledge of the health system as to how the health policies are administered
- Knowledge of First Nation customs, culture, and traditions
- Must have strong organizational skills and work independently as well as within the health team
- Clean drivers abstract, Class 5
Duties shall include but are not limited to:
Duties:
- Scheduling/booking appointments for clientele
- Answering phones, taking messages and re-directing calls
- Ensure incoming mail is recorded, copied and distributed
- Responsible for outgoing mail
- Gathering/inputting data related to health
- Overseer of the Medical Driver
- Monthly, quarterly reports for Medical Transportation
- Taking/transcribing health minutes
- Setting up, maintaining filing system
- Booking of boardrooms
- Setting up monthly calendar
- Other duties as set out in Job description associated to health
