Description

Applications are invited for a part-time permanent (4 hour day) caretaking position in the North East School Division with placement at Brunswick School (2 p.m. to 6 p.m Monday to Friday).  During non-school days 8:00 a.m.  4:30 p.m. This position is to commence on July 4th, 2016.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Grade 10 education and Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred.
Direct experience in the caretaking field would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated understanding of cleaning procedures, cleaning processes, products and equipment.
Knowledge of computers and applicable software similar to those utilized by the school division.
Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.
Fireman's Certificate would be considered an asset.
Work in varied climates and conditions which may include but is not limited
to: dust, vapors, fumes or slippery floors.
Knowledge of the cleaning and minor maintenance of school buildings and grounds.
Good organizational skills.
Commitment to task completion.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be physically fit and able to handle various tasks involving lifting, bending, twisting, turning.
Be willing to join the Local CUPE 4875 union.
