Electrical Estimator/Project Manager

REPORTS TO:
General Manager

SUMMARY:
The Electrical Estimator/Project Manager, under the direction of the General Manager, will be responsible to ensure that applicable estimating and project management practices are followed throughout project lifecycles. This position will manage and monitor project resources.

JOB DUTIES:
- Prepare and present proposals
- Perform estimates and budget development for projects
- Ensure that applicable project management practices are followed throughout project lifecycles
- Manage and monitor project resources
- Monitor job progress and costs, and provide regular progress reports to management
- Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development
- Determine staffing requirements and oversee the hiring of staff
- Plan the department's workload and flow
- Ensure all employees are performing duties in compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
- Handle employee complaints and incidents, including conflict resolution, accidents, health and safety concerns

The Electrical Estimator/Project Manager must possess the following:
- Demonstrated project management and estimating skills
- Proven experience with resource management
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Strong formal and informal leadership skills
- Ability to create realistic schedules to support the timely completion of construction projects
- Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures
