Description

The Fabricating Foreman will provide leadership and direction to their department.This position is strictly a fabricating position and is separate from our welding department.  Responsibilities
the quality of worked performed.
participating in training sessions.
completing assigned projects in an efficient, timely and safe manner.
the safety of personnel and participating in the Safety program.
the level of performance of the employees under his/her supervision.
the awareness, practice and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
providing training and direction to employees in department.
understanding and participating in the quality management system and its objectives.
identifying and reporting non-conformances.
ensuring quality documentation within department.
Duties
Utilizing raw material in as efficient and economical manner as possible.
Ensure the shop is kept clean and tidy on a regular basis.
Organize and schedule service work in conjunction with the Plant Manager.
Follow all procedures involved with the quality management system and actively participate in them.
Maintain all equipment in a safe, secure and operational condition.
Monitor all manufacturing and service operations with a view to continually upgrade and improve the quality and productivity of the department.
Cooperate and assist in the training and mentoring of employees.
Enforce company policies and procedures and deal with all employees fairly and consistently.
Perform performance evaluations of employees in department.
Hold regular department meetings, and ensure that the lines of communication are operational and utilized.
Identify training needs within department.
Oversee that corrective and preventative actions are implemented in the department.
Requirements
Journeyman certificate in the fab trade is an asset.
Experience running CNC machines.
5-10 years of experience in the FABRICATION field.
Must hold and maintain a valid class 5 drivers license.
