Description

Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join the leadership team. The world's first successful zero-effluent-discharge market pulp mill, Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp is a state-of-the-art, chlorine-free bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) facility with close to 200 employees and an annual production capacity of 400,000 ADMT. Meadow Lake is a non-unionized mill.

Reporting to the Mill General Manager, and as a valued member of the leadership team, the Maintenance Manager facilitates the overall maintenance function of the Meadow Lake Mill (Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation). Sustaining the level of preservation of the mill and its equipment is a prime goal for this position, focusing on ensuring the level of reliability required to attain plant production levels while containing costs through effectively applying maintenance resources.

Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements and executes maintenance and maintenance related activities in the Mill.
- Participates in the recruitment of trades personnel, assesses job performance for reporting supervisors, and assists in training and development of same.
- Develops departmental budgets, prioritizes spending, and advises senior management on cost over-runs and extraordinary equipment requisitions.
- Ensures conformance to the Standard Labour Contract and Company policies. Directs Maintenance Supervisors and tradesmen in implementation of the Mill safety programs and environmental policies.
- Collaborate in the development of a knowledge sharing network with peers in other Paper Excellence mills.
