Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services Department is currently seeking a highly motivated, self-directed Permanent Full Time  Registered Nurse to work in the field of Home Care Nursing.  As a Home Care Registered Nurse the successful applicant will have the opportunity to exercise leadership, judgment, independence and put into practice advanced nursing skills.

Duties:
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team;
- Providing case management and developing preliminary written care plans;
- Providing specialized nursing care for clients;
- Providing support to the client and their family by acting as a resource client advocate, and a professional liaison;
- Ability to do the initial assessments;
- Ability to communicate professionally with the physicians and other health care professionals;
- Being knowledgeable in the safe use of aids of daily living;
- Ability to work with all ages, with a focus on youth, elders and community leadership;
- Experience in facilitating groups, public speaking, presentations; and writing reports;
- Ability to conduct group and individual educational sessions, if required;

Qualifications:
- Degree in Nursing;
- In good standing and registered with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA);
- Problem solving & organizational abilities;
- Excellent interpersonal & public relation skills;
- Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
- Ability to speak/understand Cree and/or knowledge of Cree Culture is an asset;
- Excellent verbal, written communication and public relations skills;
- Satisfactory Criminal, Child Abuse & Drivers Record Checks;
- Must have a valid driver's license;


Salary:    Depending on Education and Experience
