Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, the ASD Consultant is responsible for regional planning, development, organization and delivery of ASD services within the framework of the interdisciplinary team. The ASD consultant provides coaching, mentoring and guidance to Health Region staff, ASD Support Workers, Educational Staff and Community Partners.
Qualifications:
Post baccalaureate (Masters) degree in a health sciences field with training in: Autism Spectrum Disorder and treatment, normal and abnormal child development, and applied behavioral analysis.
Eligibility for registration in corresponding professional association
Requires certification in life support (first aid, CPR)
Valid drivers license

Experience:
2 years experience working with children and ASD and/or normal and abnormal child development

Other:
Ability to travel extensively at times requiring overnight stays.
This is a regional position currently based out of Lloydminster.
Expected Start Date: July 4, 2016
FTE: 1.00

Hours of Work: In a 3 week rotation: 14 shifts of 8.00 hours
