Description

Zephyr North Ltd requires a general technical labour to work in the field.
Location: Four separate sites in the Swift Current area. It is highly preferable that the candidate live close to Swift Current.

Duties:
o To assist with the installation of temporary, tilt-up wind measurement masts under the guidance of a senior technician;
o To assist with installing wind measurement, equipment on temporary masts;
o The candidate must be willing to work on any day of the week as required. There may be as little as one day off after each 6 days worked. There may be (non-paid) time off due to weather (or other) delays.

Safety:
o Zephyr North will supply a hard hat and work gloves as required. The candidate is responsible for supplying and wearing safety boots and appropriate clothing on the work site(s).

Candidate Physical Requirements:
Candidate must be:
o physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying portable tower sections (approximately 35 kg shared between two technicians)
o capable of and willing to put in long days of physical activity in the field;

Candidate Education and Skill Requirements:
Candidate must have/be:
o a clear appreciation of, and must at all times practice, job safety.
o successfully completed at least one year in a community college (or equivalent)
o technically inclined and competent
o basic experience and/or an aptitude for mechanical field work;
o The candidate should know how to use basic hand tools; the candidate should know how to use basic power tools;
o detail and goal oriented
o a valid Canadian driver's license and a clean driving record.
