We are seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) with a demonstrated commitment to community inclusion to join our team in providing supports to individuals in our community residences. Shifts are 8 hrs and include evenings, days & alternating weekends*
FULL-TIME, PART-TIME & CASUAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE
As a member of a self-managing work team the DSP is responsible to ensure consistency in practices contributing to a positive work environment and living environment where the highest level of quality support is provided to persons supported. S/he will demonstrate their commitment to the Vision, Mission, Values and Service Principles of CH through implementing consistent behaviour support plans, upholding the rights of people supported, promoting self-determination and encouraging citizenship through community participation. The DSP will respond calmly in a loud and challenging environment while responding to changing needs.
Requirements: Certificate, Diploma or Degree in human services related field.DSW or equivalent; and/or relevant experience is an asset; Criminal Records and Vulnerable Sector Check, Current First Aid/CPR; Valid Class 5 drivers license; ability to work in physically demanding environment, Committed to team work, Computer literacy is an asset.
