SIIT is seeking a full-time, term Adult 10 Instructor to start August 16th, 2016 until June 30th, 2017. Our ABE Programs offer the opportunity for eager students to utilize prior knowledge, engage in small class environments, while being supported by a strong sense of community.  SIIT offers a comprehensive benefits package, a wide range of employer-paid benefits, a flexible supportive work environment & a strong work/life balance. As an instructor in ABE, you will provide instruction amongst the 6 courses in the Adult 10 program.  This position includes the following accountabilities:
Prepare lesson plans
& appropriate delivery methods
Create, maintain & submit all course-related materials including evaluations, attendance records, course evaluations, & annual year plans
Incorporate current technology advancements within instruction & administration where applicable
Make recommendations to modify course objectives, course outlines, curriculum,
evaluation procedures, & instruments
Adhere to promote academic regulations, SIIT policies & procedures
Foster a positive, collaborative
& professional working relationship among students, coworkers & partners across the institution
Ensures a positive, diverse, inclusive work
& learning environment
Maintain classroom,lab discipline, & if necessary, recommend action to applicable supervisor regarding student behavior, including formal student disciplinary action
Required Qualifications & Experience: A Bachelor of Education from an accredited institution.  Must possess a Saskatchewan teaching certificate or be eligible to obtain one. Experience teaching adults is considered an asset. For success in this position a genuine commitment to help students learn and succeed is required. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations is an asset.
