The Boreal Bistro is looking for two part time Servers. Must be able to work all shifts which include weekends. The Bistro is open 7am-2pm for breakfast and lunch in a more casual atmosphere and then reopens 5pm to 8pm for fine dining.
Food and Beverage Serving Skills
- Advise on menu selections
- Serve food and beverages, general plate service
- Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
- Describe menu items including daily specials for customers
Wine and Stewarding/Serving Skills
- Present, open, pour and serve wine in appropriate wine glassware
- Describe and advise on wine selection
Essential Skills
- Oral communication

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Food Safe Certificate
- Serving It Right Certificate
Additional Skills
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Set tables
- Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
- Load buspans and trays
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
- Balance cash and record sales
- Customer service oriented
- Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
