The Plumbing & HVAC Service Manager, under the direction of the General Manager, will primarily be responsible to provide leadership for employee and customer relations. This position will ensure employees are properly trained.
JOB DUTIES:
-Plan the department's workload and flow
-Review employee paperwork, such as timesheets and work orders
-Maintain inventory and order materials as required
-Participate in site and workplace inspections
-Provide leadership through effective communications, coaching, training, and development
-Maintain accurate, compliant and up-to-date employee records
-Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
-Adhere to company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
-Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Degree or Journeyman Certificate in a related field
-Three years of experience in a management role and five years of experience in a related industry
-Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
-Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
-Ability to manage coordination efforts in construction projects with various parties, such as architects, project engineers, and landscaping installers
-Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
-Proven experience preparing and conducting post-implementation evaluations
-Ability to create realistic schedules to ensure timely project completion
-Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures
-Demonstrated project management skills
-Ability to delegate, set expectations, and monitor progress of all direct reports
