POSITION: FARM LABORER with DRIVERS LICENSE
- Trimming conifer trees for the purpose of cutting at Christmas. An ideal job for a summer student. We are hiring for the first week of July
TASK:
- Swinging a very sharp 26 inch knife to trim the excess branches/foliage to produce perfect cone shapes. Knife is swung all day long with speed and authority.
ABILITIES:
- This is a very physical occupation; you must have the energy to be fast in your use of hands, walking & enjoy competitive hard labor and then go home tired and dirty and desire to come back and do it again the next day (only strong healthy coordinated people should apply).
WORK SCHEDULE: (36 to 44 hours/week, schedule dictated by weather conditions)
- Monday to Friday (if rained out during the week then Saturday)
- You might have the option of working extra hours each week.
FOOD & CLOTHING REQUIRED:
- Food and water to sustain yourself for a long hard day
- 8 inch high steel or composite toe boots, gloves, ball cap & work clothes for all temperatures and light rain
WHERE:
- We are located 24 km south of Prince Albert. A vehicle to transport staff leaves the city at 7:30 AM. The plantations are located 24 km south west of PA.
DRIVERS LICENSE:
- If you have a drivers license, make it known when you apply for this position.
