Reporting to the Director of the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (U of S campus), the financial analyst provides leadership in the areas of financial planning and forecasting, effective financial management, accountability, and internal control. The analyst is part of the schools leadership team and maintains a partnership with Financial Services to ensure that the universitys financial policies and procedures are effectively communicated and applied in the school. The analyst maintains relationships with other funding organizations; is a resource to the director, manager, faculty and administrative staff; and is the primary contact for Financial Services for financial resource management.
The position requires discretion, a high level of integrity, independent judgment, and superb communication skills. Attention to detail and the need for concentration over sustained periods are required. The analyst manages multiple responsibilities with continuous change and shifting priorities. With multiple stakeholders, the ability to manage conflicting needs and resource allocations is essential.
