Description

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Lead, the successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and ability to effectively communicate and function as part of a highly skilled engineering group. The nature of CLSI work is such that there is opportunity to specialize in areas and techniques of electrical engineering that are relatively unique.
Duties:
    Develop detailed electrical designs (process and instrumentation diagrams, single line diagrams, detailed schematics, PLC logic and code, panel schedules, and installation plans) to support the design and development of accelerators, beamlines and facility services.  Areas of design work will include electrical power distribution, motion control of precision equipment, PLC based control systems, lighting, writing specifications for tender documents, specifying equipment and initiating purchase orders, ensuring compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code, National Building Code and other related codes and standards.
    Assignments include providing technical direction, field engineering, and project management in the areas outlined above.
    Participate in many aspects of synchrotron design, modernization, operations and maintenance.
