THE BEA FISHER CENTRE INC currently has an employment opportunity for a DIRECT CARE WORKER position.  This is a one-on-one position working with an individual with developmental disabilities at our 24 hour care home.

Your duties will include understanding/following the clients program, assisting with daily activity planning, community integration, medical appointments, recreational activities, personal care, etc.  Must be compassionate and have an upbeat attitude.

Experience working with people with disabilities, including various behaviours.

Qualifications:
- Disabilities Studies or Rehabilitation Practitioner Diploma preferred (equivalencies considered).
- Behaviour Management experience.
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate required.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and vehicle required.

Hours:
- Average 42 hours per week, shift rotation including alternate weekends.

Salary to be determined, based on experience, education and qualifications.
