The Co-op Refinery Complex, located in Regina, Saskatchewan, is currently recruiting for Process Operators.
Our workforce of over 1,100 employees operates a world-class refinery, utilizing cutting-edge technology to produce 130,000 barrels of refined petroleum products per day. With an annual production capacity of 6.8 billion liters, we are one of Canada's largest refineries, distributing our products to more than 780 retail gas bar and card lock locations from Vancouver Island to Northwestern Ontario. Our focus is on fueling our people to lead our industry in safety, reliability and sustainability.
As part of the process department you will be responsible for operating refinery equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to established refinery practices, procedures and operating guidelines. Maintain process equipment through application of preventative maintenance and trouble-shooting, and monitor the operation and equipment for deviations. Additionally, monitor and adjust equipment and process variables to maintain safe and environmentally sound operation and to ensure product quality. Shift work is required.
Minimum qualifications include a grade 12 certificate and a fully completed 4th Class Power Engineering ticket. A complete 4th class ticket is mandatory and a 3rd Class ticket or 2nd Class Ticket is preferred.
Desired skills and attributes include strong analytical and decision-making capacity. Additionally, demonstrated ability to perform operating and maintenance processes and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
