SUMMARY: The Post-Secondary Administrative Assistant is a position that is supervised by the Education Coordinator of Kahkewistahaw First Nation on a day to day basis, with overall accountability to Chief and Council. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative service to the Post-Secondary program. Proficiency is required in providing personal and career counselling services to students, membership and community members. There will be completion of applications and ensuring student applications are completed and funding are arranged.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess a grade 12 or equivalent, a certificate in Office Education is preferred.
2. Work experience in a related field of two (2) years.
3. Have experience and knowledge with computers and software programs.
4. Must have strong organizational skills and work independently with minimum supervision.
5. Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to provide reports when required, maintain a file system and have superior book keeping skills.
6. Have experience and knowledge of First Nation Post- Secondary policies and funding protocols.
7. Must have knowledge and experience with Policy and Procedures
8. Be punctual, dependable, reliable and committed to the position.
9. Possess the ability to maintain the management of confidential information and must be prepared to sign an Oath of Confidentiality.
10. Possess a valid driver?s license, own a reliable vehicle.
11. Submit a current up-to-date Criminal Records Check.
12. Submit three (3) current references with resume/application.
