Description

Position Summary:

An experienced engineer in the design and test of software-based systems is needed to serve as the local SiriusXM liaison with the vendor contracted to build and test such systems. The engineer should support a systems engineering approach to developing, testing, and fielding of systems by ensuring that industry-wide best practices are followed at every step by the vendor. The systems under purview include the broadcast content encoding, delivery, service management, conditional access, and M&C systems for all SiriusXM broadcast sites.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for being the eyes and ears of SiriusXM at the vendor site for all uplink development systems and programs.
Focus on ensuring proper testing and validation of all requirements and bug fixes, including complete oversight of any release prior to any operational deployment.
Write and maintain regression test plans and procedures. Review such procedures with engineering staff members within SiriusXM and the contracted vendor.
Provide feedback to SiriusXM on the progress of contracted projects, including potential areas for schedule delay or advancement.
Actively stress-test the readiness of releases and features for all sub systems.
Participate and actively contribute to all phases of systems development including the design, test, and deployment.
Work with the SiriusXM engineering and operations to ensure operational readiness for the deployment of software releases, including the associated documentation.
Maintain all generated documentation via established guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
