Description

We are recruiting a Laboratory/Research Associate for our client in Saskatoon. This is a contract position of 11+ months. If you are looking to work in a progressive lab environment and have the necessary qualifications, apply today!

As a qualified candidate, you should possess the following skills:
-Strong analytical and communications skills with the ability to present your work both orally and in written communication
-Have a proficient understanding of scientific principles
-Be comfortable and efficient while working on multiple experiments simultaneously
-Have strong enthusiasm and passion for science, and professional creativity in your work
-Excellent problem solving and deductive reasoning capabilities

Responsibilities:
-Design and conduct complex scientific experiments under the direction of the Scientist
-Make tactical recommendations that contribute to project goals
-Collect, document, and maintain records for experiments performed
-Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results
-Proficient computer software skills including email, internet, and specialized scientific applications
-Apply statistical techniques appropriate to the specific experimental design, draw accurate conclusions, and modify project plan if applicable

Qualifications:
-Diploma/Bachelors Degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of 2 years laboratory experience; OR
-Masters Degree in a scientific discipline
