Description

We have an immediate opening for a Strategic Buyer/Materials Planner at Littelfuse. This position is responsible for materials planning, purchasing and negotiating materials and outside services from vendors to support the Saskatoon and Winnipeg Operations. The Strategic Buyer/Materials Planner evaluates vendor quotes, capability, and services to determine most desirable suppliers. This position leads process controls within ISO procedures for Procurement and manages identified attributes of supplier contracts to support local and global operations. The Strategic Buyer/Materials Planner is also responsible for managing internal control requirements within vendor setup and maintenance, as well as maintaining SAP data integrity within purchasing module.

Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering preferred)
- 5 to 8 years of Sourcing and/or Supply Chain experience

Skills & Competencies
- Must possess demonstrated negotiation skills and a drive for results
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Possess strong analytical skills with experience in Cost Analysis
- Be experienced in Project Management
- Be proficient in SAP and possess strong PC skills, specifically in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
