Description

Clifton Associates Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced payroll administrator to join our team in our Regina, SK office.
Reporting to the Controller, you will be part of the finance team that processes and administers both hourly and salary payroll.  Able to adapt quickly to the role, you will ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely. This position is full-time Monday to Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Time card review for accuracy and completeness
Administer payroll according to Company policy as well as Labour standards
Process semi-monthly payroll for the organization, including salaried and hourly paid employees
Manage deduction and benefit schedules, vacation and illness leave reconciliations, and various time tracking schedules
Process and reconcile Group Benefits and Group Pension Plan, Workers Compensation claims/reports and maintain accurate records for any claims
Period-end balancing of payroll records
Prepare payroll remittances and year-end remittances
Prepare T4s and on-line Records of Employment
Respond to payroll related questions from our staff in our Saskatchewan and Alberta offices
General administration duties as required
Skills Required:
5 years experience in payroll and benefit processes
Certification from the Canadian Payroll Association or equivalent is considered an asset
General accounting knowledge
Strong office software skills (Excel and Word)
Problem solver, organized, analytical, good time management skills, and able to deal with employee queries
Strong communication skills, including confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
Self-motivated, able to work in a team environment and balance the needs of a number of individuals and the team
Attention to detail and accuracy, superior multi-tasking
Experience with Paymate is an asset, but not required
