Job Summary: The Daycare Director will manage and provide direction for the efficient operation of the Prince Albert Child Care Co-operative in compliance with provincial regulations and under policies established by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:
- Minimum Level III Childhood Education (ECE Diploma)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a licensed childcare centre
- Working knowledge of The Child Care Act and the Child Care Regulations, 2001
- Demonstrated ability to work under the direction of a Board of Directors with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff of varying experiences and cultural and educational backgrounds utilizing effective communication and leadership abilities
- Proven work history of positive and nurturing staff-child interactions
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in computer use
- Ability to create and maintain a sense of community within the Centre amongst the staff, children and parents
- Ability to secure program and grant funding to support the operations of the child care centre
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check
- Oversee the daily operations of the Prince Albert Child Care Cooperative
- Prepare and present reports to the Board of Directors, Early Learning Division and funding agencies
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety, Labour Standards and Child Care Regulations
- Staff scheduling, guidance and supervision
- Ensure full enrollment
- Ensure timely and accurate record keeping
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records re: all aspects of income and expenditures
- Issue invoices, collect monthly fees and issue receipts
