The Greeter is the first personal visual connection the parent and patient form with Childrens Dental World. The Greeter is to welcome all patients and parents with a smile and make them feel at home as part of the Childrens Dental World family.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting all patients and parents and interacting with them while in the waiting room.
- Ensure waiting area is kept neat and tidy during the day and switch off TVs as well as tidy up the waiting area at the end of the day.
- Cleaning of all toys in waiting areas (weekly basis)
- Inputting all new patients and updating all returning patients information (ask parent/guardian if there are any changes in ins, address or phone #s)
- All new patient insurance providers must be contacted to ensure patient is active and all Social Services and First Nation Health codes must be checked.
- All patient documentation should be scanned into the patient file including; New patient forms, referrals, X-rays, pre-determinations from Insurance providers and all other documentation relating to the patient.
- responsible for receiving and calling all patients referred to our office, both Pediatric and Orthodontic.
- Check both Dentrix systems and Viewpoint to see if already a previous patient or if referred patient has an appointment booked.
- Once the patients were seen in our office, a Thank You letter must be sent to all referring doctors. Follow up is of utmost importance for all referrals.
- Send First Missed Appointment letters.
- When needed, the Greeters duties include: faxing, emailing, scanning and printing documents needed to perform duties as well as those delegated by management.
- A very important part of the Greeters responsibility is interacting with other dental offices and dealing with sensitive patient information.
- To ensure the schedule is fully booked with continuing care (recall) appointments will be booked as well as unscheduled/missed appointments.
