Adecco Saskatoon is looking for a Legal Assistant to work in a small office in Saskatoon, SK. The ideal candidate will have completed some education in relation to a legal administrative assistant program or a related program. Candidates who have previous experience in an administrative role with a legal background will be given preference.
Duties may include:
- Answering phones and greeting walk-in traffic
-Typing, editing, and drafting various documents from voicemail, email and dictation including: law pleadings; prenuptial agreements; motions; statements of claim; document disclosures; and briefs
-Organizing documentation related to financings, mergers, acquisitions and closings
-Entering lawyer billing time and monthly client billing
- Coordinating schedules with clients and lawyers
- Responding to client calls
- Ensuring accurate maintenance of large files
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements include:
- Experience within a legal office setting; education is a considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills including patience, diplomacy, tact, discretion, and professionalism
- Must have a high degree of accuracy, prioritization and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn
- Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM
