This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions:
Assist in maintaining records of the children
Assist in housekeeping duties
Maintain day care supplies and equipment
Assess the developmental level of children
Plan and develop day-to-day activities
Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members
Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
Provide opportunity for creative expression through art, dramatic play and music
Ensure the delivery of a quality licensed child care center
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Ability to multi-task, and perform a variety of other tasks while maintaining a positive attitude.
Ability to problem solve and make decisions
Team building skills with an emphasis on collaboration, communication, and coordination
Early Childhood Education Certificate or be willing to obtain.
First Aid/CPR Training or be willing to obtain
All applicants will be required to provide a criminal record check at their own expense prior to job offer.
All applicants will be required to take their Level one and/or Level two Early Childhood Education Certificate. All tuition fees are reimbursed upon completion of the course(s).
Wages range from $12.50-$16.02/hr and is based on the candidates experience and qualifications. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Saskatchewan Learning & Child Care Tier 2 averages.
