The coordinator will be responsible for carrying out the functions required for the Indian Registry reporting in accordance with the Indian Act, Federal and Provincial status and procedure of the registry reporting system; Responsible for ensuring compliance to the Cowessess First Nation Membership List; Maintaining accurate and current records on all Band members, Ensure that the band member information is properly documented, protected and processed in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have excellent communication skills to deal effectively with the public, team members, Chief & Council, fellow employees, and most importantly the general membership
Must possess the ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision; Demonstrated capacity for both teamwork and self-direction
Must be well organized, punctual, dependable, reliable and ensure that confidential matters remain confidential
Must have sound knowledge of how a First Nation administration is operated and administrated
Knowledge of managament principles, including communication principles, internet and website
Demonstrated skills in volunteer coordination, group facilitation, and community organizing
Must have professional-caliber writing, editing and consulting, crafting and be able to deliver messages to multiple audiences through multiple platforms
Thorough understanding of audience, as well as Cowessess First Nation band population on and off reserve with strong working knowledge and familiarity with First Nations values and traditions
Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle; Must be bondable
