The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association exists to support and encourage foster families through education and advocacy, helping create healthy homes, positive environments, and brighter futures for children and youth in care across the province. We are currently seeking a part time support staff to join our team.
This diverse position tasks that include, but are not limited to meal preparation, laundry, housecleaning, and childcare.
The successful applicant will be flexible in order to successfully meet the changing demands in the workplace. The chosen applicant will also be confident, self-motivated and an individual who demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and who is courteous and attentive to detail.
Qualifications:
Experience working in a home environment through past experience in childcare, nannying or through a persons own life experience as a parent
Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with children and supervisors; maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
Must have a valid drivers license as this home is located near Balgonie on a Farm.
Criminal records Check (Within 3 Months)
Salary for this position is dependent on experience; Health Benefits are available after 3 months of employment

Specific Skills
- Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
- Supervise and care for children
- Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants
- Read to children
- Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
- Observe children and prepare reports for home care or babysitting agency
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
