Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility.  We currently have an opportunity for a Grain Merchant at our Richardson Pioneer Ag Business Centre located in Swift Current, SK.

The Grain Merchant is responsible for planning and executing the grain merchandising activities within the region, specifically sourcing and merchandising grains for delivery into domestic and export market places, developing regional grain merchandising strategies, directing logistical activities and managing sales credit and collections.

The ideal candidate will have a Degree/Diploma in Agriculture or Business, a minimum of 3 to 5 years grain merchandising experience working in the Canadian grain industry, coupled with a working knowledge of futures and commodity trading or equivalent experience/education. Other attributes include initiative, proven risk management skills, excellent negotiation skills, strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, demonstrated customer service focus, above average organization skills, strong analytical, financial, problem solving and decision making skills.
