Description

We are presently looking for a creative and energetic educator to join our dynamic team environment at our child care facility, Seven Stones Child Care, located in the Seven Stones Community School.

These individuals will be responsible for preparing and providing age appropriate daily experiences that follow the Play & Exploration Philosophy including excursions and special activities for infants, toddlers, and preschool groups.

Along with ensuring the safe supervision of all the children?s well-being, that exceeds the licensing standards. The successful candidate will also pose as a support/floater for other staff.

The above position requires positive role modeling that works toward fostering staff, family, and community involvement.

Credential Requirements:
-Candidates with Early Childhood Education III, II, and I certification or equivalent will be considered
-Experience working with children
-Clear criminal record check
-Current First Aid and CRP certificate

Personal & Professional Qualifications:
-Be genuine, reliable, and resourceful
-Pose effective communication skills; both verbally and written
-Work under limited supervision in a team setting
-Assist in housekeeping duties
-Knowledge of licensing regulations
-Ability to problem-solve and make on the spot decisions

The starting wage will be in accordance to union pay-grid and qualifications. As well, an excellent benefit and RRSP package provided after successful completion of probationary period.

Start Date: September 1, 2016
