RECREATION PROGRAMMER

The City of Prince Albert invites applications for the full-time term position of Recreation Programmer in the Community Services Department. The length of this term is expected to be up to one year. Reporting to the Recreation Coordinator, this position will be located at the Margo Fournier Centre.  

The Recreation Programmer is responsible for the hiring, supervising, training and scheduling of Playground program staff as well as other program instruction personnel. Other responsibilities include the development, advertisement, and implementation of programs in response to public needs and in keeping with innovations in the industry. Grant funding will be researched, applied for and followed-up on. Policy and budgetary changes will be recommended and administered. Flexible work hours may be required, such as evenings and weekends, from time to time.  

Desired Qualifications Include:
- Grade 12
- Diploma from a Technical Institute related to Recreation.
- Two years related experience
- Working knowledge of current operating systems, spreadsheet, word processing and database applications
- Valid drivers license
