Description

An employee-owned, Canadian company, Associated Engineering provides a broad base of consulting engineering services in the infrastructure, water, transportation, environmental, building, energy, and asset management sectors.

We are currently searching for a Junior Process Mechanical/Modelling Engineer to be involved in the project delivery of both process mechanical engineering design and numerical modelling in support of the design of water, wastewater, industrial and commercial facilities in our Saskatoon Water Division.

Your engineering design responsibilities will include preparing designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents as well as participation in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration and inspection. Your numerical modelling and analysis responsibilities will include computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, hydraulic transient analysis, and hydraulic system analysis.

Further, you will participate in business development and preparation of proposals. This role provides the opportunity to join a dynamic team active on engineering projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.

Candidates should have the following skills and qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university, with preference for a graduate degree with specialization in fluid dynamics;
Eligibility for registration with APEGS;
Excellent technical writing and presentation skills;
Excellent analytical skills;
Strong communication skills;
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
A committed team player; and
Ability to thrive in a consulting engineering environment.
