Description

Applications are invited for the position of a full time permanent Accounting Clerk with duties to commence by August 29, 2016 or as mutually agreed upon.  

The Accounting Clerk will work in the Financial Services Department at the Division Office in Melfort.  Assigned duties will include all aspects of accounts payable, receivables, and assisting in general ledger posting, reporting and other special projects.  This position works closely with other office personnel, school staff and department supervisors to ensure that all information flows smoothly and that work is done in a timely and organized manner.  The accounting package used is Navision Education Suite.

Qualifications/Skills:
-Post-Secondary courses in Business or Accounting would be considered an asset.
-One year experience as an Accounting clerk, or comparable position, is an asset.
-A combination of training and work experience can be considered as equivalent.
-Preference will be given to candidates possessing Diploma or Certificate in Business, Accounting or equivalent.
-Knowledge of Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards would be considered an asset.
-Proficiency in the operation of computers, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
-Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
-Capable of working with minimum supervision.
