Description

The STF is currently seeking an accomplished professional to manage the internal investment operations for the investment program of the Federation, including over $4 billion in investments,  support to governing bodies in fulfilling their governance role, and managing a work unit. This position plays a key role in establishing, revising and monitoring investment services goals and objectives relative to organizational approved strategies and plans and to continuously strive for improvement in overall unit functioning.

Typically, the knowledge and skills for this position would be acquired through a CFA designation, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 7 years of progressive management experience in the financial services industry. The ability to effectively supervise the staff and operations of a work unit would be an asset.

Skills, knowledge and abilities include:
    
    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    Demonstrated skills in establishing and monitoring effective work unit processes, systems, policies, procedures and work methods to provide effective internal governance support.
    Ability to develop and maintain business relationships across organizational work units and with external service providers and business partners.
    Strong research and analytical skills.
    Excellent computer skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
    Superior interpersonal skills in dealing with people both within and outside the organization.
