The Prince Albert Grand Council is now accepting applications for a full time Public Health Nurse position for the community of Shoal Lake Cree Nation.
The Prince Albert Grand Council Health & Social Development unit has developed a unique holistic approach to health care in partnership with member First Nations in Northern Saskatchewan.
Under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor/ Assistant Nursing Supervisor, the Public Health Nurse will be responsible for providing Public Health Nursing services to the community of Shoal Lake.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Baccalaureate Degree
- Eligible for registration in Saskatchewan
- Ability to work effectively within a holistic team approach
- Good understanding of population health principles and concept
- Strong commitment to health prevention, promotion & community development in a First Nation community
- Valid class 5 driver's license
ASSETS
- 2 years related nursing experience
- Previous experience with electronic immunization systems
- An ability to speak/understand Cree
