Description

Under the direction of a Team Lead, this position is an integral member of an application development team in the department of Information Technology Services (ITS).  This position is skilled in the enhancement, maintenance and support of Saskatchewan Polytechnics ERP (Ellucian Banner), integrated systems, as well as mobile and web applications.  Working closely with team members, the Intermediate Application Developer resolves application related issues and failure.  The Intermediate Application Developer is experienced in application development using 3rd and 4th generation programming language, web technologies, relational databases and data query.  Experience with Oracle databases and tools is an asset.

Responsibilities include:
-Enhance, maintain and support Saskatchewan Polytechnic's ERP System (Ellucian Banner)
-Assist with the design, development, maintenance and support of web and mobile applications
-Provide assistance to clients and team members to resolve application issues and failures
-Troubleshoot and analyze complex code and data problems
-Conduct unit, functional and integration testing for new and enhanced applications
-Problem research, training, and documentation
-Maintain education and knowledge in application development and programming technologies
-Assure compliance with ITS procedures including ITIL, development standards and change management processes

The successful candidate will have a two year Diploma from a recognized institution in Information Technology (Foreign education must have Canadian equivalency certification), as well as three years of progressive experience within an enterprise information technology environment in the areas of Application Development, Database Administration, Business Intelligence, or Business Analytics.
