Junior Application Developer
Under the direction of a Team Lead this position is an integral member of an application development team in the department of Information Technology Services (ITS).  The Junior Application Developer provides technical support for application related issues and failure.  This position contributes to the enhancement, development and support of Saskatchewan Polytechnics ERP (Ellucian Banner), integrated systems, as well as mobile and web applications.  The Junior Application Developer has an understanding of application development, programming, and relational database concepts.  Experience with Oracle databases and tools is an asset.
         Provide technical support for resolving application issues and failures.
         Assist with the maintenance, development and support of web and mobile applications.
         Assist with the enhancement, maintenance and support of Saskatchewan Polytechnics ERP System (Ellucian Banner) using tools such as Oracle Developer and TOAD.
         Develop SQL reports and data checkers.
         Troubleshoot and analyze code and data problems.
         Assist with unit, functional and integration testing for new and enhanced applications.
         Problem research, client training and preparing documentation.
         Develop knowledge in application development and programming technologies.
         Assure compliance with ITS policies, procedures and best practices.
The successful candidate will have a two year Diploma from a recognized institution in Information Technology with coursework in application development and database concepts. (Foreign education must have Canadian equivalency certification).
