Reporting to Project Controls Manager and working with procurement, contracts, and scheduling to produce key measurements for Project Controls Manager. The incumbent for this role will be expected to be onsite at the DMC Mining Services Jansen project on 5/2 rotation (Monday to Friday).
This role is to cover the remainder of a maternity leave (6 to 8 months).
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Project Controls team with cost coding new commitments to project accounts.
Review DMC invoices to verify costs paid to correct project accounts. Input data to cash flow spreadsheets.
Prepare daily labour, equipment, material (LEM) report document for the project.
Receive, evaluated and compile the subcontractors daily LEMs.
Develop Averaged Monthly Costs to populate the Indirect Cost on the Daily LEMs.
Coordinate with Engineering, Construction and Safety to receive the information to produce the Key Performance Indicators required.
Coordinate with Document Control and the Subcontractors to ensure the proper and timely flow of information.
Assist Contract Administrator in providing summary reports for contract packages.
Assist with preparation of monthly reporting.
Assist Senior Cost Analyst with identifying commitments against budget.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Accounting or related discipline is required.
Advanced level MS Office skills are required.
Minimum 2 years experience in a Project Controls, Project Accounting or Finance Accounting environment is required.
Knowledge with project schedules is a definite asset.
Familiarity with a camp environment is a plus.
