JOB SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of plant operations and personnel in order to process and package quality products in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.  This Supervisor position will be located in our Cheese/By Products Department.

JOB DUTIES
    Ensure that safe conditions exist at all times within the work environment; will take appropriate action to protect the health and safety of all employees and products;
    Ensure the Company's quality and sanitation standards are met through close liaison with Quality and Technical Services, as well as frequent review and implementation of company and government policies;
    Provide leadership to production personnel through coaching and assessment;
    Supervision, evaluation and motivation of personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently, effectively and safely;
    Effectively use production information on a daily basis to measure and communicate trends; re-enforce positive results, initiate corrective action as appropriate;
    Ensure the efficient and effective use of labour, equipment and material resources;
    Schedule equipment and personnel to ensure production requirements are met on a timely basis;
    Liaise with the Maintenance Department to monitor and maximize machine efficiencies;
    Maintain effective internal and external working relationships;
    Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
    Post secondary education in Food Sciences, Microbiology, or other related education/experience is an asset;
    Thorough knowledge of dairy operations, with a strong emphasis on processing and sanitation, would be a suitable alternative;
    Demonstrated ability to effectively measure change protocols and put related action plan(s) into place;
