Job Description: As a Nurse Practitioner you will have the opportunity to exercise leadership, judgment, independence and put into practice advanced nursing skills.  The Primary Care RN (NP) practices within a framework of evidence-based interventions, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. The practice involves working within the Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region nursing program objectives, guidelines, and policies and procedures; building partnerships, completing community needs assessments; supporting inter-professional collaboration; and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects.


Required Qualifications

Masters Degree in Nursing
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
5 years experience as registered nurse.
Required to participate in ongoing related education as specified by the employer.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Knowledge of diverse health issues, culture and traditions
Knowledge of the health region and community resources
