Reporting directly to the Vice President, Education, the Education Coordinator provides leadership to the Basic Education program areas. This includes providing overall coordination and management to the program areas, program planning and evaluation, preparation and monitoring of budgets and targets, and supervision of staff.
The position is based out of Weyburn (with travel as required).
The Education Coordinator will:
Communicate with senior management and provide timely and appropriate reports
Develop, update, and implement policy and processes
Oversee all aspects of the Colleges Adult Basic Education program area. These responsibilities also include any additional project based program areas such as GED on-line services management
Coordinate funding programs
Develop, implement, and administer program strategies, needs assessment, delivery protocols and division procedures
Liaise with interal and external stakeholders,
Contribute to the overall College marketing and communications plans
Hold a valid Class 5 Drivers License and be willing to travel and modify work hours as required
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Holds or meets the requirements to hold a Professional A Certificate issued pursuant to The Teacher Certification and Classification Regulations 2002
Has completed a relevant Bachelors degree
Preference may be given to candidates with at least one year of graduate study at a recognized university in a field that relates to the major duties of the role
At least 2 years of teaching experience in Canada at the elementary or secondary level
At least 2 years experience in Canada as an educational administrator
Preference may be given to candidate with adult education teaching experience
