Description

The Mill Manager is a safety Ambassador of AREVA and leads a team of skilled professionals to meet and exceed mill operation targets in line with the expectations of AREVA senior leadership. He provides vision that will prepare and sustain one of the worlds most technologically advanced uranium milling operation over the long term. He creates synergies within the operations department and between other departments, senior leadership and regulators in order to promote safe, efficient operations, maximizing productivity, while meeting regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include:  
    Provide leadership to all employees within the mill department by establishing and communicating vision, direction and expectations
    Understand and ensure compliance with the regulatory environment and AREVA policies
    Lead mill operations with focus on safety, protection of the environment, efficiency, value and timeliness
    Meet production targets without compromising safety and regulatory requirements
    Adapt milling process to changing priorities
    Create and provide accountability for operational and capital budgets
    Ensure the development of employees
    Provide effective communication at all levels of the organization
    Represent the mill interests to peers and senior leadership
    Create opportunities for continuous improvement

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
    4 years degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience coupled with 10 years of progressive leadership experience in milling or process industry
    Strong leadership abilities with superior team building skills
    Independent objective thinker, able to anticipate and prevent issues from developing
    Able to make smart decisions under pressure
    Strong process and mechanical aptitude
    Highly developed business management skills

    McClean Lake  - Variable and flexible Manager schedule
