David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a major brand service dealership, located in Moosomin, SK, as they require several experienced HD Agricultural equipment Mechanics.
The Service Technician will be responsible for servicing, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining farm and related equipment. Travel will be required within the Moosomin area to service customers' equipment.
The Role:
    Perform diagnostics and repairs on all types of farm equipment and other machinery
    Perform in-field diagnostics and service on various farm implements as required during busy harvest season
    Must obtain and maintain knowledge of John Deere and short line products
    Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
    Complete reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
    Account for time and materials used on repairs orders
    Input information on assigned repair orders via laptop computer
    Track and input all time spent on repair orders in shop or service calls
The Ideal Candidate:
    Red Seal (JM) or equivalent experience
    Agricultural experience a definite asset
    Hydraulic and Electrical troubleshoot and repair experience
    A valid driver's license with clean driver's record
    Fluent in written and spoken English
    Ability to use standard desktop applications incl. Microsoft Office and internet
    Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group.
    Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operations
    Familiarity with John Deere or competitive products will be a definite asset
Our client pays highly competitive wages and benefits to their crew. A relocation allowance will be considered for the right candidates and all training costs are paid for. Some shift and/or rotation work is required during the busy farming seasons.
