Description

Responsible for providing housing & engineering advisory service to BATC Capital & O&M units & member First Nations.  This service includes support in areas of planning, design, construction & maintenance of community infrastructure & facilities.

Duties:
Supervision of staff in BATC Capital/O&M Unit;
Support to First Nations Project Managers & Coordinators;
Assist in development of 5 year & 1 year capital plans;
Assist in the development of major capital & housing planning, procurement of funding & selection of consultants;
Assist in development of housing & land use policies;
Assist in evaluation of staff & contractors;
Develop & implement maintenance management systems;
Participate & monitor progress of projects & administration of projects;
Adhere to reporting requirements of all outside funding agencies of the BATC for Capital/O&M Unit;
Adhere to applicable reporting requirements for Capital/O&M Unit including all areas for BAMIS-ACRS, etc.
Prepare & monitor annual budget for Capital /O&M Unit;

Qualifications:
University degree from an accredited post-secondary institution specializing in Engineering &/or equivalent combination of education & experience with minimum 5 years related work experience;
Previous experience working with First Nations communities an asset;
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Organizational & time management skills
Valid drivers license
CPIC
Willing to work long hours including weekends as needed
